Father, Son Face 50-Plus Charges Of Fraud, Theft
Officials Execute Search Warrants At Various Locations Thursday

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. -- A father and son who ran an Overland Park cell phone company face nearly 60 counts of theft and fraud after officials searched three locations Thursday.One of the locations searched is Govios Mobile at 110th Street and College Boulevard.The company's Web site touts its environmentally friendly phones. Federal agents executed a search warrant at the business today and witnesses said they saw investigators pull out bags of evidence from the office.KCTV5 went to the home of one of the suspects, 74-year-old Hermann Wilms, but the woman who came to the door did not answer. Wilms and his wife live in a $415,000 house on 130th Street near Metcalf Avenue. Wilms neighbors would not go on camera, but said federal agents raided the house Thursday. They also said Wilms owned a business with his son.KCTV5 also went to the son's house. Nobody at 44-year-old Grant Wilms house answered the door. Wilms lives in a $445,000 dollar home off 128th Street and Lamar Road with his wife and children. Neighbors there also declined to go on camera but confirmed agents raided this house Thursday.Johnson County court records show charges against Hermann and Grant Wilms. They both face 14 counts of theft, 14 counts of fraud and one count of a computer crime dating back to July of 2006.KCTV5 has learned that Hermann and Grant Wilms headed up a business called Health Care Discount out of Sioux City, Iowa, before moving to Overland Park.Overland Park police have not given details on the new charges. A judge has set bond at $1 million for both men.
