KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Firefighters were still trying to figure out the cause of an early-morning fire at an area restaurant.

A fire broke out just before 6 a.m. at the Smuggler's Inn, at 1650 Universal Ave. No one was inside at the time of fire.

Fire officials said the blaze did approximately $10,000 damage, primarily to the outside of the building. The officials added that the cause was most likely electrical.
