An air ambulance was called to the scene of an accident where a car driven by an 82-year-old woman collided with a train late Thursday afternoon.

The accident happened along Missouri Highway 7.

The woman was driving with a 99-year-old man as her passenger. Police report the woman drove past the crossing gate when it was down and the car was clipped by the train.

Neither the driver nor her passenger was hurt in the accident, police said. Both people in the car were taken by ambulance to the hospital as a precaution.
