A man, whose wife has been missing for months, was in court Thursday on charges that he stole a neighbor's gun.

Shon Pernice appeared with a lawyer in Clay County Court to face charges in the theft case, which is unrelated to the disappearance of his wife. Police said Pernice took the gun from his neighbor's house in January but returned it a few days later.

The trial in this case has been set for Jan. 25, 2010.

Pernice's wife has been missing since January and her family is offering a $25,000 reward for information about the case.
