GREENWOOD, Mo. -- The Jackson County Sheriff's Department took two men into custody late Friday afternoon after a vehicle and foot chase that ended up at a home in Greenwood, authorities said.Authorities surrounded a house in the 1900 block of Apache Court at about 4:30 p.m.The men were wanted as possible suspects in a burglary at a Harrisonville gun store late Monday night, authorities said.During the foot chase, authorities caught up to one of the men and took him into custody but the second man went into a house, authorities said.A woman and three children were home at the time, but they came out of the house and weren't harmed, authorities said.The man then peacefully surrendered at about 5:30 p.m., authorities said.During the foot chase, a nearby resident came out of a home and fired a gun into the air in an apparent attempt to help police by either stopping or slowing down the foot chase, authorities said.
