KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Kansas City police were investigating Thursday after a woman reported being raped in the bathroom of the Howl At The Moon bar in Kansas City's Power & Light District.According to police, a man and his wife went into the dueling piano bar at about 1 a.m. to have drinks. The husband told police that three men heckled his wife in the bar, and when she got up to go to the restroom, the men followed her. When she didn't return after a short time, the husband told police he got up and went to the area of the restroom. He arrived just in time, he told police, to see bouncers kicking the men out of the bar.The bouncers told police they saw the men follow the woman into the restroom, so they became suspicious and went into the restroom after them.Once inside the restroom, the bouncers told police they found them in a stall and kicked the men out.The woman said she had been raped, according to police, and went to a hospital. She was inebriated at the time, police said, and she didn't stay at the hospital so investigators still had to talk to the woman to get more information about what happened.A Power & Light patron, Beth Funke, said she was suprised by the allegation."People when they drink too much, I think that's going to be, I mean they're vulnerable obviously, so and then you mix that with music and agression, it's just all ... but I'm surprised at Howl At The Moon more than anything, because that's not really the kind of place that that would happen," Funke said.Power & Light officials said the investigating was still preliminary and that if the incident did indeed happen, it was an extremely isolated occurance and that the district had security on-hand all the time.
