Ammonia Leak Reported At Pepsi Plant

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Fire and hazmat teams were called to stop an ammonia leak at a Pepsi bottling plant early Monday morning.The leak was found in one of the cooling plants around 5:15 a.m.The building on Manchester Avenue in the Byram's Ford Industrial Park near Swope Park was evacuated.The leak was stopped within an hour and they began ventilating the area.
There were no injuries reported.
