KANSAS CITY, Kan. -- Police said a shooting erupted at about 3 a.m. on Saturday outside of Club Barcelona, located at 30th Street and Southwest Boulevard.

Witnesses said they heard about 15-30 shots fired.

Officers said they arrived at the club and saw two vehicles drive away -- a maroon sport utility vehicle and a blue sedan.

They said they were unable to stop the sedan, but they were able to pull over the SUV in Kansas City, Kan., near Interstate 35 and Lamar, which is from where witnesses said the shots were fired.

Two people were inside the SUV, and police said they did take them into custody; however, right now they are not being called suspects.

The two people inside the SUV said they did not shoot, and instead said they were victims. One of the passengers was shot in the leg, police said.

A short time after the disturbance, police said they received another call to 20th and Walnut streets, where they said they found a man in a car who appeared to be a shooting victim.

The man was taken to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries, police said. They said they believe he was shot during the disturbance at Club Barcelona.

Police said they also got a call from St. Lukes Hospital, informing them that two shooting victims had shown up seeking medical care.

Police again said they believe those two victims had been part of the group at Club Barcelona.

One of the victims was shot in the foot, and the second was shot in the neck, officials said. They said the two victims at St. Lukes Hospital should be OK.

Police said they are still trying to piece things together, and they said at this point they don't have any definite suspects in custody.
