PLATTE COUNTY, Mo. -- A jury rendered a verdict Friday in the Platte County Circuit Court case of a landlord accused of killing his former tenant.Webber Douglas Gilmer was accused of shooting Brian S. Harrell, 28, at his Northland apartment in March of 2007.The jury found Gilmer guilty of first-degree murder and armed criminal action.Harrell was helping his former wife move from the apartment on North Everton and Gilmer was demanding back rent when the shooting happened.
