KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- A massage therapist at a Country Club Plaza business is accused of sexually assaulting a customer.A woman told police she went to Massage Envy on the Plaza for a relaxing massage in late September.During the massage, her massage therapist reached beneath her underwear and did something sexual, she said.According to court documents, the 30-year-old customer told police that's when she said, "Stop! What are you doing? That's not okay." She said Leonard told her she seemed like she "might be into it," because "you have sexy panties on."
Police said the massage therapist, Justin Leonard, 35, was fired from Massage Envy, where a company spokesman said they have a "zero-tolerance policy."Police said Leonard told them it was the customer who came on to him, and he rejected her advances.Leonard was charged with sexual assault, and is in jail on $25,000 bond.Police said other massage businesses have had complaints about Leonard.A detective with the Sex Crimes Unit said a similar report was filed against Leonard in another county four to five months ago. He said the prosecutor there did not file on the case at the time but is now re-evaluating, and they expect more charges to be filed on Friday. If you have information about other possible victims, call the Sex Crimes Unit.
