KEARNEY, Mo. -- Three teenage girls were injured Friday evening in an all-terrain vehicle wreck.

It happened just before 6 p.m. near Northeast 123rd Street and North Searcy Road in Kearney.

One girl ended up trapped beneath the ATV. Emergency workers freed her and she was taken to a hospital. The other girls suffered minor injuries.

Ed Ogle heard sirens and walked outside to see what was happening. He saw the ATV flipped over in a yard. He often saw teenagers riding ATVs in the area and didn't have a problem with it but didn't want to see them get hurt, Ogle said.
