Wayside Waifs Adopt-A-Thon Under Way

Wayside Waifs, the largest animal shelter in the Kansas City metropolitan area, is conducting an adopt-a-thon this weekend in an attempt to adopt out the more than 200 animals waiting at the shelter for homes.

The shelter will be open for extended hours and will have extra staff and volunteers on hand to help those wishing to adopt pets.

On Friday, the shelter will be open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. On Saturday, the shelter will be open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., and on Sunday the shelter will be open from noon to 4 p.m.
