UPDATED: 8:42 am CDT August 27, 2008

Independence police have released a surveillance image of the person who robbed Bank Liberty on South Noland Road.

Police said the man who slipped the bank robbery note to a teller is a white or Hispanic male about 40 years old, 5 feet 8 inches tall and 160 pounds.

Investigators are hoping the man's clothing might tip someone off to his identity. He was described as wearing a short-sleeved black T-shirt, blue jeans, black shoes, black watch, sunglasses, black baseball cap with a light colored bill and the letter "C" and a necklace.

If you have information on the robbery, contact the FBI at 816-512-8200 or call the Crime Stoppers TIPS Hot Line at 816-474-TIPS (8477), text TIP452 plus a message to CRIMES (274637) or submit a tip online at kccrimestoppers.com.
