INDEPENDENCE, Mo. -- A Jackson County jury reconvened Monday for more testimony in the sentencing phase of convicted murderer Richard Davis' trial.The jury will determine whether Davis should be put to death for the videotaped sex slaying of 41-year-old Marsha Spicer of Independence.
Davis' sister and his ex-girlfriend were among those who took the stand Monday and talked about his broken childhood and sexual abuse when he was young.
