A Pittsburg State photography student plans to sell photos he shot of tornado destruction in Chapman to raise money for rebuilding its schools.

Aaron Anders, 19, was one of the first photographers at the scene on June 11 when a tornado sliced through town. The twister damaged or destroyed the city's elementary, middle and high schools.

Anders turned his hundreds of images into a slideshow a few days later.

He plans to sell DVDs of the slideshow for $10, with the proceeds going to the Chapman School Fund.

Although state and federal officials are providing rebuilding funds, the district must kick in 15 percent of the cost.

Copies will be on sale next week in banks in Salina, Chapman, Abilene, Junction City, Herrington and Enterprise.
