Fire Blamed On Kids Playing With Fireworks

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Firefighters were called to a house near Brookside on Sunday after children playing with fireworks in the attic started a fire, fire officials said.A neighbor said the children were playing with sparklers, and she heard them playing with firecrackers the night before.Fire Chief Joe Vitale confirmed that the fire was started by fireworks in the attic and said there was extensive damage to the house on Brookside Boulevard.No one was injured in the fire.
