3 People Sentenced In Mortgage Fraud Case

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Three people involved in a high-profile mortgage fraud case linked to former Jackson County Executive Kathryn Shields have been sentenced.Larry Barshaw and his wife, Linda Thompson-Barshaw, will serve five years probation and six months of house arrest.Former real estate appraiser Jerry Plagman was sentenced to two years probation.They all pleaded guilty to a scheme to illegally inflate the value of Kathryn Shields' home.
Shields and her husband were acquitted of the crime last year.
