INDEPENDENCE, Mo. -- Prosecutors may wrap up their case Wednesday in the first-degree murder trial of a Kansas City-area teenager accused of killing his best friend's mother, Pamela Marquez.Tuesday, jurors heard a 911 tape of the woman's husband, Joe Marquez, reporting that she had been stabbed in their Grain Valley, Mo., home.Eddie George and the Marquez's son, Taylor, are charged.Wednesday, a tearful Joe Marquez, told court about the night his wife died. Joe Marquez said George stabbed him as he was sitting on a couch.George and Taylor Marquez then disappeared, Joe Marquez said, and he walked upstairs and found his wife."I walk in my bedroom, and I look to my right, and I see my wife lying on her back," Joe Marquez said. "She has her eyes half open. Her arms are to her side. I run over to her, and she's wearing blue pajama pants and a light blue shirt and I see it's soaked in blood."Taylor Marquez's trial is scheduled to begin in August.
