KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- A group of burglarized businesses in Kansas City have added $1,250 to an existing $1,000 Crime Stoppers reward in the cases.Between March 1 and May 6, at least 12 burglaries have been reported in the Northeast Industrial District of Kansas City in which copper has been stolen, mostly from air conditioners.Besides the thefts, whoever stole the copper caused property damage, and it has cost the businesses thousands of dollars to repair it and replace items.Authorities urged anyone with any information in the case to call the TIPS Hotline at 816-474-TIPS.
