KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- A Kansas City man was charged after a fight with a relative, police said.

Officers said it started when a female family member died Saturday morning after a long battle with cancer.

The two men began arguing, possibly over the will, and Bills pulled out a knife, police said.

The victim was treated for numerous cuts. He was treated and released from the hospital.

Bills was charged with assault and armed criminal action.
