CLINTON COUNTY, Mo. -- A tornado touched down between Lathrop, Mo., and Plattsburg, Mo., Thursday evening, KCTV5 Chief Meteorologist Katie Horner said.

It was spotted between 7 and 7:30 p.m. near Missouri Highways 116 and W, she said.

A Clinton County sheriff's dispatcher said she hadn't received any reports of damage by about 8 p.m., but trees were down in the area.
