Man Accused Of Sabotage Appears In Court

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- A Missouri man accused of trying to sabotage efforts in the Iraq war made his first court appearance Wednesday.KCTV5 News cameras were outside the courtroom as Charles Dale Osborn, 45, of Odessa, Mo., left his arraignment.Authorities said Osborn stole thousands of pounds of copper from the Lake City Army Ammunition Plant in Independence, Mo., while working there.If convicted, he faces 245 years in federal prison because the material taken from the plant is used for rounds sent to troops fighting in Iraq and Afghanistan.Osborn was free on bond Wednesday.Timothy Duane Langevin, 36, of Independence, Mo., was also charged in connection with the crime but was not in court Wednesday.
