PECULIAR, Mo. -- A former Peculiar, Mo., alderman was sentenced Monday for an incident at a tractor pull.

In September, police arrested Mark Wansing at a tractor pull in Archie, Mo., for drinking and driving a truck that hit three people, including a 5-year-old girl and her mother.

Wansing pleaded guilty in February to assault.

Wansing was given 30 days in the Cass County jail and five years probation.
