KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Friday was the last day of testimony for a Kansas City man accused of being a serial killer, Terry Blair.Testimony ended Friday afternoon in the Jackson County Courthouse. The judge heard about 911 calls that the prosecution said Blair made telling police where the bodies of murdered prostitutes were found. The bodies turned up along the Prospect corridor in 2004. Defense experts argued that the voice on those 911 tapes is not that of Blair.
Blair is avoiding a possible death sentence by agreeing to a bench trial in front of a judge rather than a trial by jury. The judge expects to rule in the case next week.
