KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Two men carjacked a man delivering meals to Kansas Citians in need.It happened on Tuesday near Lexington and Brooklyn avenues. They put a gun in the face of Kinfu Dibawo, 66. He fell to the ground, then they took his keys and drove away in his delivery van, Dibawo said.Dibawo went to a hospital to be treated for his injuries, and about 20 people didn't get their meals on Tuesday as a result of the carjacking. The Don Bosco Senior Center has liability insurance but didn't have any for the cargo van used for the Meals On Wheels program. If police don't recover the van, a new one could cost $20,000 to $25,000.The van was a white 1995 Chevy cargo van without any special markings. It had windows on the front and back doors, a spare tire on the back and Missouri license plate 918-GS7.Don Bosco spokeswoman Jennifer Anthony said some recipients were waiting for their only meal of the day, though the center made sure that everyone who missed out had something to eat.
