Authorities have taken into custody a man they were looking for in connection with a homicide.

They arrested Claude Gross on Friday morning near Northwest 64th Street and Interstate 29, authorities said.

Police had gotten a tip that Gross was on a bus. While officers were waiting for him at the bus station at about 2 a.m., they learned that the bus had broken down, went to that location and took him into custody.

Prosecutors charged Gross, 53, with murder in connection with the shooting death of Glennis Fiehler, 42.

Fiehler was found dead on Feb. 16 in a residence in the 1100 block of East 65 Street. She left behind a teenage son and a daughter.

Shortly after the killing, investigators said they believed the shooting was drug-related, based on interviews with neighbors.
