EMPORIA, Kan. -- Authorities said law officers were questioning a man regarding the death of a teenage goose hunter who was shot by a rifle from a passing vehicle in eastern Kansas.Acting on a tip, Lyon County sheriff's deputies and the Kansas Bureau of Investigation picked up the man Wednesday morning.Sheriff Gary Eichorn said the man could be accused of hunting violations and possible involuntary manslaughter charges.Emporia State University freshman Beau Arndt, of Americus, Kan., was shot dead while he and two friends were lying in a field waiting for geese after placing several dozen decoys in a field.Arndt's friends said a truck stopped along a nearby road and someone inside fired a rifle shot into the decoys, but hit Arndt instead."We believe — authorities believe — it was a complete accident," the victim's father, Bob Arndt, told The Emporia Gazette. "I feel sorrowful about what this person is going through."
