KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- A pack of dogs attacked a woman out on a walk around 9:30 p.m. Sunday.

Officials said two or three dogs attacked the woman, who was walking near East 70th Street and South Benton Boulevard, and bit her in the head and chest.

The woman fought off the dogs and ran to a nearby house for help.

She is expected to recover, police said.

The dogs ran from the scene.
