SUV Slams Into Minivan On Highway

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- All lanes of Interstate 470 eastbound were reopened near Raytown Road in the 6 o'clock hour Tuesday after an overnight wreck.Investigators spent hours piecing together details of the wreck.Around 1:15 a.m. Tuesday, an SUV slammed into the back of a minivan. The impact sent the SUV spinning across the roadway. The driver couldn't keep it in control and the vehicle ended up going off the road.A male passenger in the SUV was rushed to the hospital with serious injuries.No one else was hurt.All but one lane of I-470 eastbound was blocked while crews cleared the scene.
