Bicyclist Dies After Being Hit By SUV

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- A bicyclist died at the hospital after being hit by an SUV over the weekend.Police said the victim, 57-year-old Michael Hammond, was struck while crossing the intersection at Brooklyn and Independence avenues on Saturday afternoon.Witnesses said the driver had a green light and was not speeding.
Hammond died of his injuries at the hospital.
