JACKSON COUNTY, Mo -- A key defendant in the mortgage fraud case of former Jackson County Executive Katheryn Shields has pleaded guilty.Michael Rodd, an Olathe real estate broker, admitted he tried to defraud Fieldstone Mortgage Corporation in 2006.Shields is accused of fraud in the planned sale of a home she owned with her husband.
