People Rush To Make Charitable Donations

New Year's Eve Last Day To Donate For 2008 Tax Break

Wednesday was the last day for people to make a charitable donation and have it count toward a tax deduction for 2008.

People lined up around the block to drop off items at a Goodwill store in Shawnee.

In addition to household items people donate, they can also deduct for miles driven for charity or tickets purchased for a charitable event or fundraiser.

The organization has to be eligible for people to receive tax deductions for donations.
