Description: The Registered Nurse (RN) coordinates the efforts of the multidisciplinary treatment team for the patients under his/her care. S/he is accountable for patient assessment, planning of care, intervening as patient condition changes, and evaluating the care and treatments the patient is receiving to determine if the patient is achieving the expected outcomes. She is responsible for administration of medications and treatments, reviewing test results, and communicating with physicians and other healthcare team members to ensure the highest quality patient care.
