We currently have an opening for a Medical Technologist Supervisor, Evening shift.

Responsibilities:

  • Manages organizational responsibilities in a way that supports the achievement of unit/team goals.
  • Works effectively with others in management to identify and resolve problems.
  • Leads unit/team and models appropriate values and maintains and promotes social, ethical and organizational norms.
  • Instructs medical technology students during their lab practicum.
  • Orients new employees to laboratory procedures.
  • Performs venipuncture as needed.
  • Assures adequate supply and reagent inventory.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Biological, Physical, Chemical or Clinical Laboratory Science or Medical Technology from an accredited institution.
  • Amrican Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) or National Credentialing Agency for Laboratory Personnel (NCA) is required.

Job Description:

The Rehabilitation Services Department includes Occupational and Physical Therapy, Therapeutic Recreation and Speech-Language Pathology. Our professionals provide a broad range of services to our varied patient population with special focus on prevention, preservation and restoration of mobility, fitness, activities of daily living, communication, cognition, and swallowing.

We currently have an opening for a Lead Physical Therapist.

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluates patients using appropriate techniques with consideration of the patient's physical, psychosocial, developmental/maturation status and cultural needs. Contacts physician for any clarification of orders or precautions.
  • Develops and implements physical therapy treatment program.
  • Communicates with physicians and other health care workers concerning the patient's status, ability to progress and needs for continued services.
  • Documents evaluation, progress and discharge summaries, home programs and other forms for intra/extra agency personnel.
  • Supervises physical therapy assistants, techs, and students providing them with assignments and patient care information.
  • Develops and coordinates the Spine Therapy program in Physical Therapy. Responsible for clinical program development of guidelines, competencies, pathways and protocols for patients in the spine program.
  • Participates in and/or assists in education of staff, peers, students and/or community in the area of spine programs.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy. Master's degree is preferred.
  • 5 years experience in treating lumbar, thoracic and cervical dysfunctions as well as post operative patients rehabilitating from spinal surgery.
  • 1 year leadership experience in program development (preferably spine programs) and community outreach programs.
  • Current Kansas license to practice physical therapy.
  • Credentialed as an Orthopedic Specialist by the American Physical Therapy Association or a Fellow of the American Academy Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapy.

Responsibilities:

  • Assesses patient status utilizing physical assessments, laboratory and diagnostic results, and a patient interview to provide patient care.
  • Demonstrates knowledge and skill in all aspects of IV Therapy.
  • Manages care based on knowledge of cancer, treatment and side effects.
  • Provides education to the patient and family regarding disease and treatment plan.

Job Requirements:

  • Associate's Degree or Diploma in Nursing. Bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • Kansas RN license
  • 2 years of oncology experience with IV Therapy skills.
  • OCN certification within one year of employment.
  • Must have an American Heart Association basic life support (BLS) or an American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer certification.
