MRSA Found On Doctor's Neckties

When people are sick, a trip to the doctor is supposed to make them feel better.

But when KCTV5 News had tested something to which patients likely come very close when they visit the doctor, even the lab was surprised by what was found.

KCTV5 had three of a doctor's neckties analyzed.

While one came back clean, the other two tested positive for nine different bacteria types.

Staphylococcus aureus, more commonly known as MRSA, was found on one.
