"Just south of the lake. It's a do or die ride. Halfway down the the hill used to be an access road and hitting this at the right speed will send you skyward 2 to 3 feet. At the bottom is a creek and a stone bridge, take your pick."- Water Works Park Disc Golf Course at North Oak Trafficway and Farmland Drive "There is a fair amount of parking with access to several hills with varying degrees of slope and length. Some slopes even have a road nearby for getting back up the hill.- 23rd Street and Topping Avenue "This spot is a big hill that people have migrated to for years. It's fast and bumpy and real steep, what more could you ask for?"- Hodge Park Ampitheatre at 152 Highway and Shoal Creek Parkway "It's a perfect hill to sled and roll down. There's even a slight, almost natural, speed bump at the bottom to bring you to a stop. It's big too, so a lot of people can sled there at any given time."LEAVENWORTH, Kan. - Stubby Park at 4th and Poplar streets "I grew up sledding on the hill. The hill is really wide and fairly long. It is very safe because the is a long flat area on the bottom of the hill and away from traffic. Kids pack the place on sleds. There are even a few ramps that get built."
