An Internet video of an office worker going berserk has been confirmed by the creator as being fake.

Apparently, it was all part of a marketing plan orchestrated by Timur Bekmambetov, director of the upcoming comic book movie "Wanted."

The clip, which originated on Break.com, shows a man at his cubicle trashing his office by smashing computers and throwing papers.

Bekmambetov came clean in his personal blog and got a big laugh over fooling the Western world. On Monday, the clip had been viewed over 3 million times.

Part of the ongoing theme of "Wanted" is to escape from your everyday life, hence the correlation with a man flipping out at his office.

The film opens June 27 and stars Angelina Jolie and Morgan Freeman.
