New Year's Eve Celebration with the American GI Forum

The KC Metro Chapter of the American GI Forum will host a New Year’s Eve Celebration. Party-goers will enjoy live performances by Kansas City’s local Tex-Mex band, “La Mañana Band“, top 40 oldies by “Bobby G and The Brown Sound Band” and DJ Marty Bernal. The KC Metro Chapter of the American GI Forum was formed in August, 2001. The organization raises funds to benefit local youth entering and attending area colleges. Scholarship recipients excel in areas from business to nursing. To date, ten college students have benefited from the organization’s generosity. Proceeds from the New Year’s Eve party will benefit the organization’s scholarship fund and the group’s Kansas State Conference that will be held in Kansas City in June, 2009.
