It's a brand new day for some students at William Jewell College.

A new school year brings new friends, new studies and for some sorority sisters -- a new building.

"There are some girls that want to live off campus and I'm like, 'why would you want to live off campus,'" said Lily Yekzaman, a junior at William Jewell. "I want to at least live here for the two years I have left here."

Members of the Alpha Gamma Delta showed off their new $14 million house on Friday.

A tornado swept through Liberty in 2003 and destroyed the sorority's previous residence. Since then they've been housed in a cramped dormitory across campus.

With the opening of the new building, which four sororities share, these students are looking forward to life in a state-of-the-art facility.

"We really have a place where we can spread out," said junior Katelin Kauffman. "I actually have a desk in my room and we can have people in here and it isn't so crowded."
