    Newsweek Magazine Lists Sumner Academy Among Top Public High Schools

    KANSAS CITY, Kan. -- A local high school has made Newsweek magazine's list of top schools in the country.

    Sumner Academy of Arts and Science ranked in the top 6 percent of public high schools in America.

    On a list of 1,500 schools, Sumner ranked 109th.

    Sumner Academy is a college preparatory school that is part of the Kansas City, Kan., public school district.
