School Board Discusses Amato's Performance

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Kansas City, Mo., School District superintendent Anthony Amato remained at his post on Saturday.School board members met on Saturday morning and emerged from closed doors two hours later with no decision about his future to announce.The meeting was held at the Blackwell Sanders law offices on the Country Club Plaza.The school board president confirmed that board members discussed the embattled superintendent's performance.Members had discussions with former Grandview, Mo., superintendent John Martin as a possible interim leader if they decide to change superintendents.The school board said they may have a decision in a matter of days about Amato's future.
