A magnitude 7.1 earthquake rocked central Mexico on Tuesday, killing at least 149 people as buildings collapsed in plumes of dust and thousands fled into the streets in panic.

Kansas City Royals mascot Sluggerrr was in Mexico Tuesday to promote baseball when the earthquake hit.  He tweeted that he and the Minnesota Twins mascot made it safely after the quake struck.  The earthquake has killed at least 140 people.  It's Mexico's deadliest earthquake in 30 years.  Story time. Student remains in critical condition following 'altercation' at Ruskin High School

Kansas City police say a student is in critical condition following an altercation at Ruskin High School.  A spokesperson for the school district said a parent legally entered the school and got into an argument with a student and another student.  Police do not know the relationship between the victim or student. Police say a man under investigation by the Kansas Department of Revenue is suspected in a shooting that critically injured an employee at the agency's Wichita office. Wichita Police spokesman Charley Davidson told reporters that a 35-year-old employee was shot multiple times Tuesday before the gunman fled the scene.
