Reward Offered In Cat Killings

LAWRENCE, Kan. -- A reward is being offered in the slaying of pets in Lawrence.A pet owner on Ninth Street found his cat mutilated in his back yard last month, police said..It was one in a string of similar crimes, police said. Mark McManon, the cat's owner, said he knew of at least three neighbors who had found their cats killed like his.The Humane Society announced it is offering a $2,500 reward to catch the cat killer. Crime Stoppers is also offering $1,000 for information leading to an arrest.
