KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Police continue to search for a man's killer two years after his death, and they're asking the public's help to solve the crime.On Feb. 13, 2006, when Mary Roseburrow went to pick up her daughter, she found her ex-husband, Darmon Parker, face down in the back drive of his house.When paramedics arrived at the scene on East Gregory Boulevard, they confirmed what Roseburrow feared. Parker was dead.Roseburrow and Parker's 15-year-old daughter was inside taking a nap.
Kansas City Police Detective David Needham said they believe Parker had pulled around to the rear of his house the night before, struggled with someone there, possibly someone intending to rob his house, and was shot.Parker was an engineer for Trans World Airlines for 29 years. He had recently retired and looked forward to spending more time with his family.Parker's family is offering a $25,000 reward for information that leads to an arrest.
