KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Police continue to search for the gunman who killed a woman and her boyfriend more than a year ago.It was 2 a.m. on Feb. 21, 2006 when Tiffany Carter, 23, and her boyfriend, Marshawn Walker, 20, were gunned down inside their house at 4122 Garfield Avenue.Tiffany's mother, Catherine Taylor, had just gone up to bed when she heard a knock at the front door."I heard gunshots and about five or 10 minutes later, I came downstairs and found my daughter and her boyfriend shot," Taylor said. "The only thing I saw was a white car. I was looking out my window and all I saw was two figures getting into the white car."
Investigators continue to wonder whether Carter and Walker were the intended targets or if they were killed because of their association with another person. Just a few hours before the two were killed, police were at the house on Garfield looking for a man named John Parker. He was friends with Carter and Walker, and he was wanted by police in connection with a homicide.Police and family members hope that someone will step forward with information that could help solve the case. If you have any information about this case, please call the Crime Stoppers TIPS Hotline at 816-474-TIPS.
