We currently have an opening for a Unit Coordinator on our Rehab Medicine unit.
Patients of all ages rely on Rehabilitation Medicine to help them recover from debilitating injuries and illnesses and learn to care for themselves using adaptive techniques and equipment. Our staff cares for patients with cerebral vascular injuries, brain and spinal cord injuries, neurological diseases, knee and hip replacements, arthritis, medically complex burns, organ transplants, cancer or renal failure.
The hospital is partnering in a new four-story facility that will be built on the southwest corner of 39th Street and Rainbow Boulevard and is slated to open fall of 2013. The facility's second floor will offer brand new space for the hospital's Inpatient Acute Rehabilitation Facility care and will offer patients and staff improved environment, services and equipment. The Inpatient Acute Rehabilitation facility will more than double its current space and will offer a wide range of patient amenities, including a larger gym, large showers in each room to accommodate shower benches and shower-chairs, and a kitchen and laundry to help patients prepare for self-care at home. It will also offer home-like features, such as a family lounge, sleeper couches in patient rooms, and a dining room where patients can dine as a group.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinates daily staffing needs on unit and re-evaluates staffing with changes in unit work flow.
- Makes patient care assignments based upon nurse competencies and patient care needs.
- Assists staff with patient care issues.
- Facilitates seamless transition of patients in the admit/transfer/discharge process.
- Provides education to the patients and families regarding disease and treatment plan.
- Contributes to the orientation, education, and evaluation of staff.
- Keeps manager informed of department or patient care problems or needs.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing is required.
- 2 years clinical experience is required.
- Current Kansas RN license.
- Must have an American Heart Association basic life support (BLS) or an American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer certification.
INTERFACE TEAM MANAGER

We currently have an opening for an Interface Team Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Plans and coordinates the execution of functional and system testing for ACIS project and impacted legacy systems to ensure business requirements are met with no impact to system integrity.
- Reviews design documentation for each interface and related workflow processes to determine testing requirements.
- Ability to consult with customers and senior management on business process directives and recommend interface solutions.
- Develops and validate partner vendor versioning and alignment of release cycles to maintain interoperability while maintaining partner vendor relationships.
- Collaborates with team leaders and other implementation members to ensure all test scripts are executed on time and according to plan during test execution.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in I.S., IT, Informatics, or related field required or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of three years proven functional testing and/or technical project management experience, or equivalent.
- Working knowledge of mainframe, client/server and/or web-based systems.
- Automated testing systems knowledge is strongly desired.
ORGAN TRANSPLANT NURSE COORD

Responsibilities:
- Coordinates pre-transplant patient verification and evaluations.
- Conducts follow-up for post-transplant (inpatient and outpatient) recipients.
- Provides education on transplantation to patient, family members, community, and other co-workers.
- Works with transplant physician and surgeon in the development of standards and protocols.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
- 5 years experience in acute care nursing.
- Organ transplantation or procurement experience is preferred.
- Current Kansas RN license * Must have an American Heart Association basic life support or an American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer certification.
