We currently have an opening for a Clinical Nurse II.

Medical Telemetry and Progressive Care Unit is a 36 bed medical telemetry unit that specializes in caring for patients with a wide array of diagnoses requiring cardiac monitoring and IV medications/infusions. Our nurses are engaged with leading edged therapies used to treat unique conditions in a fast paced, high acuity environment. Our nurses have the opportunity to work with a variety of physician services in the hospital and through this develop the expertise to care for our diverse population.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required
  • Kansas Registered Nurse license or eligible.
  • Two or more years of nursing experience.
  • Must have an American Heart Association basic life support (BLS) or an American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer certification.
  • Other certifications may be required depending on nursing unit.


CLINICAL RESEARCH COORD CCP

We currently have an opening for a Clinical Research Coordinator CCP. Responsible for developing audit plans based on the National Cancer Institute guidelines and other applicable Federal guidelines. Coordinates internal audits and external site visits. Oversees reporting and resolution of compliance issues.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Life Sciences, or related field required; Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years clinical research experience required.
  • Strong knowledge of oncology research, including cooperative group, industry-sponsored and investigator-initiated clinical trials preferred.
  • Knowledge of clinical trial development and regulatory processes and quality assurance experience preferred.


DECISION SUPPORT SYSTEMS SPEC

We currently have an opening for a Decision Support Systems Specialist.

Responsibilities:

  • Provides assistance by working on any project, as needed, and supports all QI and PI initiatives. Demonstrates the ability to meet Departmental deadlines.
  • Creates database applications, as requested, and performs database maintenance regularly. Demonstrates extensive knowledge of database interfaces, to include creating and maintaining interfaces. Assists in the management of all databases and resolves all problems concerning databases.
  • Utilizes knowledge to work with data from various sources; establishing accuracy and validity of data so the generated results facilitate organizational improvement. Examples include the EPIC hospital systems, UHC database, stand-alone and foreign systems utilized by the organization, various Access databases.
  • Provision of advanced MS Office suite assistance to include writing new functions for Excel, Access and Word; creating subroutine modules in VBA for handling intensive tasks; researching and providing additional add-in modules from third-party vendors; research and education of new versions and skill-sets to help form best practices.
  • Demonstrates computer-programming skills.
  • Ability to effectively interact and work with multi-disciplinary teams including physicians, management and peers.
  • Demonstrates the ability to work with various sophisticated reporting tools to pull data from the hospital computer system.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma required; Associate Degree required; Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Information Systems preferred.
  • Prefer knowledge of reporting from EPIC hospital systems.
  • Prefer knowledge of diagnosis and procedure coding, and DRG assignment.
  • Prefer expertise using Microsoft Access with Visual Basic for Applications.
  • Demonstrates expertise in database building, maintenance, and reporting.
  • Demonstrates computer-programming skills.
  • Demonstrates expertise of Microsoft Excel.
