We currently have an opening for Trainer in our Healthcare Information Technology Services Department.

Responsibilities:

  • Becomes an expert on a specific application(s), understanding current business processes and workflows.
  • Develops training materials to educate end-users to learn the new applications to support modified processes and workflows.
  • Tests and maintains the training environment.
  • Provide training to other trainers who will provide training to system end-users, including physicians, clinicians, administration and staff.
  • Maintains knowledge of current trends and issues in healthcare, current education practices, healthcare informatics, national and state-wide standards and regulations, enterprise policies and procedures as related to clinical practice, and the legal implications of clinical systems.

Requirements:

  • Associate's degree in Education, Human Resources, Healthcare Administration, Training, or related field required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • One year of training experience required; one year of healthcare experience preferred.
  • Certification in one Epic application preferred, National Certification (HIMSS programs, etc) also preferred.
  • Ability to understand current workflows and effectively teach how to use a new tool to support those workflows.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication needed.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint or related office productivity software required.


UNIT COORDINATOR

Department: NS 28E SIC SURGICAL ICU
Schedule: Full Time
Shift: Nights
Hours: 1900-0730

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates daily staffing needs on unit and re-evaluates staffing with changes in unit work flow.
  • Makes patient care assignments based upon nurse competencies and patient care needs.
  • Assists staff with patient care issues.
  • Facilitates seamless transition of patients in the admit/transfer/discharge process.
  • Provides education to the patients and families regarding disease and treatment plan.
  • Contributes to the orientation, education, and evaluation of staff.
  • Keeps manager informed of department or patient care problems or needs.
