Shaun Broyls joined KCTV5 News in January 2008 as a general assignment reporter and weekend anchor.

Prior to joining the KCTV5 team, Shaun held similar positions in Waterloo, Iowa and in Wausau, Wis. Most recently, he worked as a sports director in Lansing, Mich.

Some of the many highlights of Shaun's career include flying all over the country to cover Michigan State University’s run to the Final Four, skydiving for a news story and covering the turn of the millennium from Walt Disney World.

Shaun is from Chicago and is a graduate of Iowa State University.

When he’s not working, Shaun enjoys spending time with his wife Kimberlee and his three children. He likes bowling, softball, watching football, shooting and editing short films, and sleeping in -- when his kids let him.

His favorite movie is "Ocean's Eleven," and his favorite thing about Kansas City is that "It’s not St. Louis!"

Shaun has also done some commercial acting, stand-up comedy and is a member of the Screen Actors Guild.
