Karen Fuller

Karen Fuller co-anchors KCTV5's weeknight newscasts. Before joining KCTV5 in October 2003, Karen was an anchor and reporter for KATV in Little Rock, Ark.

A native of Jonesboro, Ark., Karen earned her bachelor's degree in radio/television from Drake University, located in Des Moines, Iowa. She began her career as a weekend anchor for KIMT-TV in Mason City, Iowa, and was quickly promoted to weekday morning and noon anchor.

Karen has been nominated for three Emmy awards, and is the recipient of an award by the Society of Professional Journalists in the category of enterprise reporting. She has also covered stories in the Ivory Coast, Italy and Cuba, as well as having the responsibility for coverage of the 1996 Democratic National Convention.

Karen and her husband, Ken Keasler, have two children. In her free time she enjoys cooking, aerobics, reading, fishing and traveling. One of the most gratifying aspects of her job at KCTV5, Karen says, is that being an anchor gives her many opportunities to participate in community events.

You can e-mail her at karen.fuller@kctv5.com.
